Author, Artist, Photographer
As the dust jacket of "Arches, Turrets and Ivy" reads, Ms. Goldie resides with her family in Dublin, Ohio and is originally from Old Tappan, N.J. Her Fine Art degree is from Wittenberg University in Springfield, OH where oil painting and printmaking were her areas of concentration. The Fall semester of her Junior year was spent in Salzburg, Austria studying art – intaglio printmaking. That was when she was smitten with this region and with the Old World feeling from intaglio prints.
Last year Bev saw and admired the art of photo enhancement. She purchased a piece from local artist, Sherri Carbo, who graciously showed her how to do the medium. At first she experimented with pastels and markers meant for photos, but now favors just the oil pencils and paints - mostly the Marshall brand. Colorizing the black & white or sepia prints reminds her of the intaglio art from college.
Bev's artwork is on display at an interior furnishings studio and local galleries. Her work has won several awards in juried art league shows.
